 The Bazars Of Hyderabad

The Swadeshi Movement was part of the Indian independence movement and contributed to the development of Indian nationalism. The movement, begun in 1906 by Indian nationals opposed to the Partition of Bengal, was one of the most successful movements against British rule. After the partition of Bengal, the Swadeshi movement got a big boost, because of the integration of the boycott movement with the Swadeshi movement. Boycott movement was also launched along with the Swadeshi movement. The movements included using goods produced in India and burning British-made goods.. Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Mahatma Gandhi encouraged Swadeshi and Boycott movement after the British government decided the partition of Bengal. Many freedom fighters have struggled constantly during the swadeshi movement for independence of using only foreign products. Some of which were poets, activists, lawyers etc who have united the nation by non - violence .

The COVID-19 pandemic has made many countries in the world start protecting their local industries . In regards to the context, I feel that the Swadeshi Movement is relevant in the present scenario for India , but in a different form .

We can't completely boycott foreign products especially in today's globalized world and neither should we do so since it will adversely affect our ability to compete with the global economy. Instead our efforts should be established in the productive sense and long-term plan of promoting Swadeshi products and Swadeshi companies. Our honourable prime minister Narendra Modi has also initiated the new policy of ' Aatmanirbhar Bharat '. Aatmanirbhar Bharat's simplest meaning is India should reduce its dependence on other nations to the lowest possible levels. Everything that the countries are forced to import, how they should be made in India. Aatmanirbhar Bharat aims to reduce unemployment, insolvency, and poverty and increase India's per capital GDP. We shall not completely ban the use of foreign products and goods but shall encourage manufacturing Indian products and shall reduce import of foreign goods and make sure they are also made in India. This will help India to be able to compete better in global economy and promoting growth for small scale industries which will be a great revolution for India .
