The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
Robotics is an interdisciplinary field that integrates computer science and engineering. Robotics involves design, construction, operation, and use of robots. Robotics develops machines that can substitute humans and replicate human actions. Robots can be used in many situations and for many purposes, many are also used in dangerous environments including inspection of radioactive materials, bomb detection and deactivation.
Robots can take on any form but some are made to resemble humans in appearance. This is said to help in the acceptance of a robot in certain replicative behaviours usually performed by people. Such robots attempt to replicate walking, lifting, speech, cognition, or any other human activity. Many of today's robots are inspired by nature, contributing to the field of bio-inspired robotics.
Many people fear that robots or full automation may someday take their jobs, but this is incorrect. Robots have many advantages such as Safety the most obvious advantage coupled with speed, consistency, perfection, improved productivity etc. Even employees operating robots will be happier since boring, repetitive and dangerous tasks will be performed by robots.
From manufacturing units to experimental robotics for medical, military and automotive industries, the future of robotics engineering finds tremendous opportunities for professionals. Robotic science has a tremendous scope as a career option as robots play an important role in the industrial sector.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) puts robotics engineers in its category for mechanical engineers. The organization's projections show 9% job market growth from 2016 through 2026.
Robotics Engineering is considered a high-end professional career in India.
I happened to read about Robotics and found out that there is a great demand for robotic engineers in the gaming industry and manufacturing units as well. If the candidate has good merit records, then they can find themselves in top profiles in research organizations such as ISRO and NASA.
Did you know that South Korea, Germany, and Singapore are the world's top nations in preparing their economies for robotics and artificial intelligence??
Robots are coming whether you like it or not, and it will be the future and it will change our way of life whether you like it or not.
