Dear Raj
Hope you are doing fine. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a great change in our lives. I know it’s tough and everyday of our life is getting more uncertain. But one thing I know for sure that we are not alone.
Remember the days before the coronavirus, so happy were those days! I miss the warm hugs, firm handshakes, high fives with my buddies. I miss my school, my friends, the short breaks and long breaks. Sharing the lunch box with my friends, especially the jam sandwiches that Yug use to bring, yummy my mouth started watering! And the art classes were so much of fun, making new creative things and comparing with my classmates. But because of the lockdown feels I am imprisoned. Nowhere to go and have to do my studies online through Zoom app, it’s boring. It’s not the teachers fault she’s awesome. I had to cancel a yearly summer trip, I was planning to go to Dubai. I miss going to my favorite restaurant and hogging on that yummy hot brownies with chocolate sauce and ice creams. Many people have lost their jobs, I really feel pity for them specially the ones who were the sole bread earning member of the family. Many have lost their near and dear ones due to Covid-19 virus. May their soul rest in piece.
This pandemic has though us may things. In my personal life, I can feel that my priorities have massively shifted due to this pandemic, and it has been eye-opening to see how so much can change in such a short space of time. I started helping my mother in small household chores. Helping my father with filing the bills and maintaining files properly. In fact I even learned little cooking, I learned how to make Maggie, bhel and pizzas. Learning to make round rotis, heeee. My heart is filled with mixed emotions and anxiety, there is so much to write but cannot express here.
No doubt that COVID-19, and the resulting nationwide shutdowns, has interrupted our personal life. But as they say theadversity brings out the best in a person. The humanity will definitely bounce back eventually. It’s just a matter of time. I hope you and your family are taking all the precautions to keep safe. I wish you and your family good health. Stay safe. Waiting to hear from you .
Regards,
Vihaan.
