"Don't interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." ~ Napoleon Bonaparte

Did you know about the great emperor of Europe in the 18th - 19th century? Yes, he is none other than Napoleon Bonaparte I of France. In this blog, I'm going to talk about his last battle, The Battle of Waterloo, which he lost, and his whole empire was then captured by the British and Prussians.

Napoleon had declared himself as the emperor of France after 10 years of the French Revolution on 2nd December, 1804. Napoleon was a mixture of good and bad. He was the cause of destruction for almost 20 years. His last battle was a tragic battle, after which he was exiled to an island to spend the rest of his life. The Battle of Waterloo began on 18 June 1815, where Napoleon was in a desperate situation. He had more numbers then the Wellington and the Prussian army, but if they came together, Napoleon would be outnumbered. He tried his best to separate them, which he was successful for 2 days, after which he started charging towards Wellington in Great Britain. Wellingon had to retreat 10 kms behind, into Waterloo, where Prussia started marching a day after. Napoleon wasn't expecting them, and got outnumbered. Prussia was at the back, while Wellington at the front. Napoleon had the control over the center. He could have won the battle with a few 1000 soldiers remaining unless his whole army, except him and his guards fled. Eventually, even they had to flee because they were 10000 trying to fight with 200000 soldiers. Both the sides suffered casualties, and Napoleon was so desperate to flee, that he left behind his carriage. Thus, Napoleon lost the battle and his empire was now no longer his. This battle was named after its battlefield. Napoleon was exiled to St. Helena's island under British control and 100 residents for the rest of his life, which was only 6 years. He died out of extremely severe stomach cancer on the island, which marked the end of his reign.

That's all what this blog had to offer, keep reading and keep learning!
