Technology - Friend or Foe ??
Technology - Friend or Foe ??
Technology as itself is a really vast topic; considering and taking it in general it has been a true breakthrough in the field of discovery and innovation. If we were to generalise technology into one it can be considered as a boon to mankind considering the way it had revolutionised the way we work, the way we eat, the way we communicate and understand each other, the way we sleep and overall is starting to gain control over human imperfections and faults. But is it being a bit too much ?? Are we being more dependent on this rather than depending on common sense and emotional intelligence or are we even doing the right thing or are we on the right path in all innovations related to technology?? Well, if you’re inquisitive to know all about this diverse topic, hold your horses and continue to read!!
Technology has surely been revolutionary for man. Our entire lifestyles have adapted to the changes and with the arrival of modern and new ways of technology. With the advent of new innovations in this evergreen field, it has raised issues especially due to the over usage of electronical gadgets working like a means of communication and carrying out our daily activities during these unprecedented times of the worldwide pandemic.
In the beginning, we were sharing a proper and better relation with our phones and laptops ; less screen time and more physical interactions for work had made life more balanced especially this made people more fit and healthy for the long run of life. Now being completely dependent for each small thing on the internet has proved to be a terrible outcome to the problem at hand; the pandemic.
People have been relying on the internet for all answers of any such thing which they want to know more about especially during exams students have become too much dependent on the internet for doubts and answers. Finding answers on the internet is completely agreeable but too much of this dependence has led to less usage of common sense and understanding among the youth of our nation. In addition, many students have been found to do cheating in tests as a result of online teaching which is completely wrong and should never be done at all at any cost. People have also adopted a sedentary lifestyle by sitting at a single place with no exercise and are just glued onto their screens for long periods of time which brings strain on their eyes and causes pain in back and causes stiffening of muscles, which can lead to health disorders in the future as well. Also, teenagers take comments on social media close to their heart which can lead to loneliness and depression as well.
So, in the end I would like to say that technology and gadgets are surely a friend of ours but anything in excess is not good at all. Hence to keep fit and healthy we will have to keep gadgets at bay and balance out our life so that we can be happy and healthy in life in the future.
