An Air Bag for protection – Seriously? (PBL)
Hello readers, back with my new blog. I would like to ask you all a question before starting my blog. While driving, you meet with an accident so what saves your head from being crashed on the steering wheel? If you don’t know you will get to know in this blog.
An Airbag saves your head from being crashed on the steering wheel. An airbag is a vehicle occupant-restraint system using a bag designed to inflate extremely quickly, then quickly deflate during acollision. It consists of the airbag cushion, a flexible fabric bag, an inflation module, and an impact sensor. The purpose of the airbag is to provide a vehicle occupant with a soft cushioning and restraint during a collision. It can reduce injuries between the flailing occupant and the interior of the vehicle.
Without an airbag to prevent impact forces, accident victims could easily succumb to fatal injuries such as broken necks, severed spinal cords, traumatic brain injuries, or lethal lacerations. In 1973,Oldsmobile Toronado was the first car in which passenger airbags were installed.
Side air bags designed to protect the head, also known as curtain airbags, come out of the roof above the windows. While side air bags are more common in the front seats of a vehicle, some newer cars also have side air bags in the rear seats.
So, I hope you all loved my blog and got to know about airbags.
