  Chir Batti Author : JUGAL SHETH A natural wonder is a type of creation made by God which is truly awesome, one of my favorite natural wonder is Chir Batti in Gujarat. Chir Batti is a ghost light reported in the Banni grasslands, seasonal marshy wetlands as well as the desert of Rann of Kutch. Local villagers refer to the light as Chir-Batti in the Kutchhhi language with Chir meaning ghosts and batti meaning light. At the night this light occurs as bright as a mercury lamp and changes colors to red, yellow and blue. Its speed is fast and it stops also. According to the local tales, it has been a part of their life. Some people say the light appears after 8 p.m. on dark nights. The BSF who patrol the border area of India-Pakistan of Rann of Kutch has observed it.
